Oyster Trail, Galway, Ireland
One of the longest running traditions in the world is the Galway International Oyster Festival. This three-day extravaganza celebrates the new season of the oysters in a rather befitting way. There is drinking, dancing, and guzzling of the oysters, all continued for three days. The main objective is to drink nearly 30 pints and eat about a hundred oysters, all in a three-day period at every bar in the trail.
