If you own a cat, then you probably know your furry friend tends to shed everywhere. It’s on the furniture. It’s on the carpets. It’s on your coat, and on your freaking sofa. But Japanese photographer Ryo Yamazaki and his wife Hiromi decided to turn this pesky shed fur into the most adorable hats ever. And they used their Scottish fold cats Nyaa, Mar, and Mugi as models.
Amelia Earfluff
This tabby cat is named Nyaa, but we’re going to nickname her Amelia Earfluff for wearing that adorable cat fur hat on its head. This may honestly be the cutest thing anyone’s ever seen.
The Valkyries Are Coming
The fur hat that this fluffy white cat is wearing is seriously stunning. We can’t even begin to understand how they turned shed fur into such a lovely creation. Now bow before your master, you hairless human!
The Cutest Thing Ever
Is this a real-life rendition of Detective Pikachu? This is just too cute for words! But if you’re worried that Mr. kitty’s human parents painted over his fur, don’t be scared. The image has been edited on Photoshop.
The Furry Invasion
Mugi is ginger and the youngest feline the Yamazakis own so far. It’s also sporting some serious shed fur antennas. Clearly, this kitty cat must have escaped Area 51.
Pandamonium!
That Panda hat looks ridiculously pawsome on Nyaa. It’s amazing what people can do by combing shed cat hair, placing it on a form in the desired pattern, and then needle-felting to get it to look the way they want it.
The Sultan
Mar is looking really cute with its sultan-type hat. But hopefully nobody mistakes this kitty for an ice cream cone or a dumpling or they’ll have cat hair in their throats for weeks.
Sea Boat Captain
Mugi looks like a freaking sea boat captain with that hat. And it’s so adorable the way the Yamazakis got the kitty to pose with one paw holding its chin.
Quack, Quack, Bow, Wow
The Yamazakis gave Mar a duck hat made of fur, while Mugi got the dog hat. And neither one of them seems very pleased with the arrangement. But they look so cute, who could resist dressing them up in these adorable cat hats?
The White Witch
Mar is looking extra witchy with that pointy hat on. You better stay on this magical cat’s good side or else it will turn you into a mouse and make you its next meal.
All Hail The King
Mugi’s dressed up like the ruler of all the land. It’s amazing how the Yamazakis put so much detail into the crown. They’ve even added curled up gray hairs on the side.
Eh, What’s Up, Doc?
Nyaa’s looking super relaxed spread out on that couch. She’s also rocking those white rabbit ears like a total boss. It’s like a feline Easter bunny and it’s just too cute not to share.
The Sunflower Cat
Nyaa is undoubtedly the light of the Yamazakis’ lives. It’s too bad that the kitty can’t say the same about her humans who have turned her head into a sunflower.
The Cat Princess
And finally, we have Mar wearing a hat that looks like a crown and a bunch of white hair that turned kitty into some sort of Scandinavian princess. Well, she definitely looks like royalty!
