Dogs are always cute regardless of whether they’re big or small. But the truth is that a lot of pet owners wish their dogs could stay puppies forever. Thankfully there are some dog breeds that appear to have frozen time in order to continue looking as cute as they did when they were pups.
The Shih Tzu
The Shih Tzu is one of those rare dogs that manages to stay tiny as they get older. These adorable furballs look as young and as cute even when they’re well into adulthood.
French Bulldogs
Whether you have a pup or an adult French Bulldog, you’ll notice that age is just a number because this breed is easygoing, extremely affectionate, and oh so lively at any stage of their life.
Pugs
Pugs are dopey-looking and squirrely, which is why they bring their humans so much joy. Best of all, their wrinkly faces and eyes don’t really change that much with the passage of time.
Maltese
This dog breed is gentle and treats everyone like a friend. Its most obvious feature is its white furry coat. But what most dog owners love about Maltese dogs is that they tend to stay relatively small as they become adult.
Yorkshire Terrier
Yorkies are oh so adorable when they’re little. But while their bodies grow a bit when they reach adulthood, they retain their playful, childhood spirit.
Cocker Spaniel
You’ll feel loved all day long with those unexpected sloppy kisses and overall adorableness. Plus, you wouldn’t be able to resist petting those long ears or their curly fur either.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
They’re well known for being tempered, loving, and great companions. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels also love to snuggle with their favorite humans and have adorable big saucer eyes and droopy ears. Plus, they pretty much stay the same size all throughout their lives.
Golden Cocker Retriever
Their sad little faces will melt your heart when they’re puppies. And while their bodies grow a bit as they get older, they still keep the same adorable facial features that made you fall in love with them in the first place.
Toy Fox Terrier
Toy Fox Terriers are full of personality. They’re smart and courageous, too. They’re also quite lovable, charismatic and will give you a reason to smile every day. The only thing that does grow as they get older is their pointy ears.
Beagles
Beagles look an awful lot like a large foxhound as they get older but they always remain amiable and gentle. The only thing that changes is their ears, which grow bigger and floppier.
Corgi
They’re great at hiding. They’re goofy. They’re nice and fluffy. They’ll love you till their last breath. And if you need more of a reason to own one, then there’s the fact that it’s Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite breed.
Pomeranians
They’re cute and highly adaptable to urban and rural life. They’re also pretty outgoing and peppy. And as they get older, they turn into miniature furballs you’d want to brush, pet, and cuddle with all day long.
