These 30 pictures aren’t exactly what they look like. You might not see it at first, but take a closer look and you will soon know what the picture exactly is about. These are what we call optical illusions. They just take your mind out for a toss. However, there is one important thing these pictures teach you. It proves that you can’t always trust your eyes.

1. In The Middle Of A Strange Storm
We are telling you beforehand that this image is not a product of Photoshop editing. The lightning struck precisely when the photographer captured the image. The left half of the photo was recorded to memory before the lightning strike and the right half after the lightning strike.
2. A Dog With Two Heads
No this is no magical demon from Harry Potter. We have here the heads of two dogs that have merged into one. Their fluffy coats and their leg placement creates an illusion that their bodies are fused.
3. Sloping Floor Or Straight Floor
The pattern of this cathedral floor makes it seem as though the floor is sloping downwards like a canyon or a ravine. You have an uneasy feeling that you are suddenly going to drop off into a great abyss below. That’s why people don’t attend this church as often they should.
4. Two Giant Pigeons
You might be forced to think that these two birds are the world’s biggest pigeons. However, we assure you that it’s nothing but an optical illusion. They have on a ledge above the car park the photographer has captured it in such a perspective that gives the following impression.
5. Camel Head Without A Body
It looks like this man is holding a decapitated camel head that is still alive. However, we assure you that this is nothing of that sort. Then how is this camel missing its body? The photo was taken with such a perfect angle, the body of the camel remains hidden behind the boy’s body.
6. The View Of The Earth From The Moon
If you feel that this is a photo of the Earth viewed from space, then you are mistaken. This is just the frost on the roof of a person’s blue car and the image has been taken in the morning.
7. Is It Half A Cat?
The person who took this picture makes it look like the cat only has one head and just one big arm. But where is the rest of the cat? The picture doesn’t make a lot of sense and you feel that you have gone crazy.
8. Walking In The Sky
When you look at the reflection of the sky on the lake, then you realize how incredible the picture is. It appears as though the photo was taken from an island floating in mid-air, like something out of Avatar’s Pandora.
9. Is The Lady On The Left A Centaur Woman?
She’s not a perfect centaur either, because she has half the body of a dog. The lady who’s on the right has a dog that arrived at the perfect moment when the photograph was being taken. The lady on the left is wearing black pants which haven’t helped things either. That is why this is such a great optical illusion.
10. The Icy Tornado Has Brought The Chills
This image easily baffles the mind by merging a tornado into the snow in front of the photographer’s front porch. The tornado is not a tornado, but it is an icicle hanging off the window’s ledges.
11. The Black Hole In The Middle Of The Quilt
Can you see that there is a black blob in the middle of the duvet? It looks like a black hole in sheets or is it some portal to another dimension? But lower your guards, because it also could be a cat sleeping on the quilt.
12. The Dog Cut Out Of A Log
This dog has a portion of his body that is completely invisible from the view of the perspective. That’s what it seems like when you give it the first glance. It is just sitting next to a log that has the same tint as the color of its body.
13. The Hovering Ghost Ship
The ship that is hovering in this photo is not an alien spaceship, divine intervention or some sort of mind-boggling magic. It’s actually a type of mirage called the Fata Morgana. It is the same type of mirage that created the myth of the Flying Dutchman.
14. Are These Bar Stools Or Something Else?
When you first look at these espresso martinis, they look like a bunch of stools placed in a neat line the bar. They are filled in glasses that are placed on a separate table that is several feet away from the place where the photograph is being taken from. Each of the glasses has a couple of little coffee beans floating on top of the liquid beverage.
15. The Couple Are Trading Each Other’s Legs
If you are confused at first, then might have to look at it a few times. Before you can notice the outline of the man’s basketball shorts, you will feel the power of the amazing illusion. The shorts are actually multi-colored which is responsible for the games it is playing with your mind.

This image appears as if it’s not real and is a part of some virtual reality game. However, this photograph is a part of the real world. It was actually taken in Hawaii when the sun was directly overhead. So there were no shadows formed and that actually looks amazing.

This another confusing photograph and it was taken after Hurricane Sandy. The fallen tree ripped all of the grass and soil out of the ground with it. It was responsible for making an amazing photographing opportunity.

The reflection that comes from inside the coffee shop makes it appear as though somebody is selling pies out of the trunk of his car. He must be quite an entrepreneurial fellow. But wait, it’s not the case. But it is a good idea.

This dog is extremely fluffy. When it jumped up in mid-air, its fur covered its legs. When it took a huge leap to clear the grate, it caused the hairy fur to hide the entire body.

Who needs a photo filter when a tent can create one? The tent creates a unique optical illusion that is a visual delight as well. Just snap away as many photos as you can.
21. The House Is On Fire Or Not?
This is by far one of the awesome sunset reflections to be ever shot through a camera. It is so bright that it looks like an inferno. One cannot marvel enough over the wonders nature has created.
22. The Bride On The Groom’s Shoulders
The wedding dress of the bride and the white tuxedo of the groom blend into one and make it a really romantic picture. It creates the illusion that the bride has her legs wrapped over the groom’s shoulders and she does not care for anybody else in the world.

In this photo that’s taken at night, the scene from outdoors and the lights from indoors merge into one marvellous image. The ceiling light from inside the house looks like it is hanging from the sky ot the clouds that are outside the window.

We aren’t sure what type of tree is shown in the pictures. However, if broccoli suddenly grew to the size of a giant, then this is what it would appear to be. There must be a dozen broccoli along the block.
25. The Tiny Dwarf Soldiers
The soldiers in the army sometimes have to do some strange training stuff that prepares them for all situations. So here is an army exercise in swimming pools. Due to the refraction of water, there is an optical illusion that is created. It seems that these guys appear really short with their stubby legs.

If you thought that monkeys knew how to take selfies, then this image will ascertain your beliefs. But look closely and you will notice that there is a glare on the window of the monkey’s cage. You will notice a woman’s hands with rings on her fingers.

The roof lights in this house have added a set of pinkish eyes to the glasses. Otherwise, it seems that there must be a ghost in the room. That’s the only explanation that we can give but it is the truth.
