In 1998, an Austrian woman named Natascha Kampusch was abducted from her home by Wolfgang Priklopil. The man tied her up in a cellar for eight years. But while forcing Kampusch to vacuum his car, he got a call and walked away. This gave Kampusch the chance to run away and call the cops. Priklopil wound up throwing himself in front of a train while evading capture but the girl was finally free.
